Dear Sherm,
I am writing this report on my thoughts concerning the value, use, and economics of using LS25 for winter application on our roads.
We have been pre-wetting our grit-salt combination now for four years. We also use liquid brine application on our parking lots and periodically in certain conditions on some of our roads. By using brine in pre-wetting, we have been able to cut back our salt use by 25%, yet experience a faster reacting material on the road surface at a considerable total saving. We have also been using this material when rebuilding our shoulders and berms during the summer construction with great success.
Seneca Mineral provides us with an excellent material, great delivery, and service at a fair and reasonable price.
